My children loved this book! The illustrations are beautiful, and contain real feeling in the faces of the characters. Right away, my children picked up on the problem of the freckle and the compassion that Susie felt for him. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to help their children find their own inner strength and beauty. If we all acted like little Susie, the world would be a much better place! Children's illustrated book, full color. In a dream, a little girl named Susie meets a homeless freckle named Freddie and offers him a place to live "right here on my hand." Created to help the author's own children calm their anxieties over their materializing freckles, "Freddie Q. Freckle" also reaches out to youngsters on a social plane. It urges them to feel and act upon their emerging compassions.
